    Biography:

Born May 27th, 1998 at 4:20pm at the Ottawa General Hospital in Ottawa, Canada.

Born to Joseph Turgeon, an Aircraft Mechanic in the Royal Canadian Airforce and to Anne-Marie Turgeon, a Grocery Store Supervisor.

Youngest of two brothers, Jaydon and David Turgeon.

Ever since Charlie was a young boy, he has always made it his mission to make others happy, even if it is at the expense of himself. He loves to laugh and he loves to see other people laugh and smile. Charlie's happiness is driven by the happiness of others. During his elementary school years, he was very well known within the school. Always helping other students, helping teachers with extra tasks and responsibilities. At home, Charlie was very much the same. Always helping out his parents and siblings around the house, and going out with his grandparents on weekends to pickup trash on the side of the road. Also in his off time, Charlie did lots of amazing volunteer work in his community and sat on multiple committees. Some of his work includes: Breast Cancer Awareness Triathlon, SADD (Students Against Drunk Driving), Remembrance Day Ceremonies, 1000000 Trees Program (Planting Trees). With all of his positivity and volunteer work, Charlie was nominated as Ottawa's Person of the Year in 2012 and won, being the youngest ever to win the award at the age of 14.

In Grade 9 when Charlie went off to Highschool, on the first day of class he met a girl named Julie. Charlie was instantly attracted to Julie's bubbly personality and positivity. Soon after they first met, they became an item and started dating in 2013. Charlie and Julie were THE power couple of their school. Not only were they both super popular but they were both directly involved in volunteer work, helping others, and making others happy. Something Charlie has always lived by. Things were looking really good for Charlie and Julie, they had hopes to get married after high school, Charlie would then go to school to become a Child and Youth Psychologist while Julie wanted to go to school to become a Child Protective Services Worker.

Unfortunately for the both of them their dreams were shortly lived.

In Grade 11, when Charlie and Julie were 17. They both were in a horrible accident on the way home.
On Saturday June 6th, 2015 at approximately 11:30pm. Charlie and Julie were driving home from a family dinner, when a deer jumped out in front of the vehicle. Charlie, tried to swerve to miss the dear and ended up crashing into a tree. First Responders declared Julie deceased at the scene and Charlie miraculously survived with only a few scratches.

This is when Charlie’s life changed forever. He had just lost his loving girlfriend of 2 years in a tragic life event and Charlie, being the driver of the vehicle, blamed himself. After the accident, Charlie became mute and didn’t talk to anyone. Not the first responders, not his parents, not his friends, no one. After the hospital medically cleared Charlie. They referred him to the Royal Ottawa Psychiatric Hospital where he remained for 3 years following the accident.

For two years Charlie didn’t speak to anyone. The only way he communicated was by pen and paper. One day about 2 years into his stay at the mental institution he finally spoke to a fellow patient who randomly started talking to him. This was the first time he had spoken since the accident and the hospital staff and fellow patients were shocked and amazed. Over the next following year Charlie would continue to get better and start to feel some joy again. In 2018, after 3 years of being in the hospital he was approached by his case officer and an employment opportunity from a local organization in partnership with the hospital. There was an organization from the Ottawa area that was expanding to The United States. This organization was to help victims of car accidents and other traumatic events reintegrate into society by helping with mental health support, financial support, and basically just getting people back on their feet. Once Charlie was reluctant at first but he ended up accepting the job and helped the Organization set up a new location in Las Ventures on a work visa.

Over the next 2 years Charlie would become on of the lead program directors and help hundreds of people from around The Las Venturas Area get the help that they need. He would also get his green card and eventually citizenship. It was the first time that Charlie felt himself again and that he could continue helping people like he and Julie used to do.

    2020.

2020 was the mother of all years. Everything that could go wrong, went wrong. It wasn’t just in Charlie’s life but everyone’s life. Unfortunately, Charlie’s organization was shut down and he was forced to work from home due to the pandemic. In September of 2020 Charlie’s Organization (due to lack of funding and income) closed down their location in Las Venturas and moved everything back to Canada. Unfortunately for Charlie he was not able to return home in time before the borders were closed.

Shortly after that Charlie began waking up in the middle of the night with night terrors and started becoming really anxious and irritable all the time. Depression, panic attacks, and outbursts soon followed. This was due to the flashbacks of his accident; it is unknown why these symptoms just started happening but Charlie assumes that it is from PTSD and past trauma that he experienced. He tried to seek help and figure out what was going on but all of the local clinics and hospitals were overwhelmed with patients from the pandemic. Being cooped up for months at a time with little to no human contact was definitely not helping Charlie’s case. He began to get worse and worse. He knew he needed to get a job to keep his house and car but even knowing that he still couldn’t bring himself to leave the house.

Soon enough his car and apartment were repossessed and he was left homeless on the street due to crippling debt from not having a job. Due to Charlie’s neglected mental illness, past trauma, and isolation he started fixating on parts of his past “positive” lifestyle. Charlie was still trying to be his own self but in a little more aggressive manner. Charlie would often be getting into verbal and physical fights over people being rude and disrespectful. Charlie still has his happy and positive side, but if he is treated poorly or sees others being treated poorly then that’s when he starts to get angry, irritable, and breaks out into altercations.

Due to this behavior, he didn’t get to spend a lot of time in shelters and ended up sleeping on the streets most nights.

One night while sleeping on a park bench, Charlie overheard some drunk college students chatting about how beautiful it was in Los Santos and how Los Santos was a land of opportunities for people.
Charlie thought to himself for a moment and then decided he wanted to try and make it to Los Santos where hopefully he could get a fresh start.

A few days later Charlie picked up his duffle bag of belongings, left Las Venturas, and headed to Los Santos by hitchhiking and catching rides with long haul truckers.
