Alexander was born on a private plane flying over the Atlantic ocean, to a wealthy family. Being an only child he was spoiled by his parents and people around him. Being apart of one of the oldest families to settle in the eastern part of the United States carries a certain weight and gravitas. As a young child Alex was burdened by not only his family name but his parents, both near genius level of intellect they pushed him harder than most children his age to succeed, they needed to make sure he protected the legacy after all. During this time Alex was acting out in protest against his parents often causing verbal arguments and creating rifts between him and his parents, mostly his mother. Alex growing up had always been interested in the way people move, make and transfer large amounts of money between companies during business dealings, so he starts to visit his families multiple holdings to learn more about the inner workings of it all, numbers have become a sort of passion of his. This pleases his mother, because to her, he's finally using his brain in a productive manner.
In the years leading up to high school things were much of the same, visiting office buildings and learning more about how they operate, there he met a young woman he'd later fall in love with, Evelynn Ashton. Eve was the daughter of a family friend, his dad's best friend. A pair of unlikely lovers, given the gap in social status and economic status. They didn't care, all of that was noise, his mother never really approved of her but he didn't care one bit. The two were inseparable from the moment they met, they saw each other often despite attending different schools. Eve's family owned a two story bakery/coffee shop, they lived a humble life near Columbia University, where the two were planning to meet after graduation. Ivy League.
At the young age of 18 is where Alex's world changes forever, while attending Columbia University, the trip down to Eve's family shop was but a few mins away. They saw each other often, and she'd visit him on campus which is where he lived, she still lived at home and made the short walk daily. That winter Eve was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer which she later succumbs to just before their 19th birthday the following September, she fought hard and he was there every single day, with money from his from his family, he starts a Cancer Foundation in her name. Campus life without Eve being there daily with coffee and food wasn't the same and the world had seemed to stop for him, but only him, the world kept moving so he slowly moved along on auto pilot.
As time went on Alex's feeling of still being controlled and micro managed by his mother started to eat at him again, Evelyn was no longer here to keep those feelings at bay, so he put in a transfer request unbeknownst to his family, to continue his education on the other side of the country in Los Santos, leaving the Ivy League campus behind for good.
