Amir Hades was born in England, to Kuwaiti parents who had come to the UK in search of a better life. The struggle to adapt to a foreign land was one his parents never quite overcame, and they were constantly at odds with each other. Amir's parents had divorced by the time he was seven. He was left alone, as an only child, who never seemed to fit into either one of his cultural communities.
Amir was always resourceful. He learned to blend into his surroundings, mimicking the mannerisms and dialects of those around him as a way to avoid confrontation. But soon he realized the world wasn't kind to kids like him. So he toughened up. He started running small errands for older kids in the neighborhood, doing whatever it took to make money. It wasn't much, but it was enough to survive.
Everything changed when Amir was placed into foster care at the age of 12. His parents had no choice but to let him go, and it was then that the Hades family entered his life. The Hades family were different from anyone Amir had ever known. They were English-Irish. Mr. Hades was a stern but kind man, and his wife, had many children of their own, but there was one that really stuck out to Amir, and that was Callum.
Callum became Amir's closest friend. Callum had grown up in the streets and knew how things worked. Their bond grew with each passing year as they started to run small schemes together. They started small: stealing from local shops, hustling people out of their money. But soon, that wasn't enough.
By the time they were both in their late teens, the two had built a reputation in their neighborhood. They no longer stole for survival but for the thrill of it. As they became well known, so did the stakes rise higher, and soon their petty crimes turned into more serious ventures: car thefts, underground gambling, high-stakes hustles etc.
Amir and Callum had always talked about leaving England, about starting fresh in a place where no one knew their names. America seemed like the perfect place-an opportunity to go bigger, do things on a grander scale.
So, with a small fortune they had acquired from their schemes, the two brothers took the plunge and crossed over to America. The streets were wild and full of possibility; the brothers quickly fell in love with the city.
Callum immediately set to sucking up to the city's underworld, while Amir was mostly head down, nose buried, and learning his bearings of the larger scope of things. They started pulling jobs together-heists, rackets, whatever they could get.
Over time, Amir came to be just as ruthless as Callum.
But for Amir, the hunger for success kept growing. He wanted more money, power, and a legacy. And if leaving the past behind meant his struggles, family, and loyalty to the Hades name were dispensable, then so be it. Yet no matter how high they ever managed to climb, there was an oath of brotherhood between the two neither would ever deny: a family bond.
Together, Amir and Callum Hades forged a name in America that would change the criminal underworld for years to come. And though Amir's road was often lonely, he knew that no matter where this twisted journey took them next, Callum would have his back.
