Atticus was born in Galway, Ireland to a poor family. His father was a traveling salesman and his mother kept house. Until he was six, and his father went away on a business trip he never returned from. From that point his mother began work in a pub, and his eldest brother took in a job at a factory.

The family struggled, but survived, and moved to Vice City in the hopes of a fresh new start. Atticus was keen on books and learning from a young age, excelling academically all through school. This allowed him to gain the necessary scholarships for his nursing degree. He was the family's golden child. The first to get a degree and they had incredibly high hopes for him. However this would all soon change.

Six months into his rotation as a trauma nurse, he'd learned that the block of apartments which included his families' were to have their rent tripled in order to force them to leave, so that they could be demolished for condos. Atticus, ever the firebrand went to the town hall meeting and fought vehemently against this. What he didn't know was that the mayor was the one behind these rent charges as he also had stake in the condo's parent company.

As he walked home from the meeting, he was jumped by three men and had his throat cut. Thankfully quick thinking and medical training saved his own life. After a brief recovery, he decided a reaction was called for. He brought spray cans to the mayor's office. Wrecking the mayor's car, he was set upon by two guards who he killed after a scuffle, gaining the baseball bat of one of the guards. He then trashed the mayor's office, spray painting"EAT THE RICH" and "FUCK THE GOV" all over the walls. The mayor himself arrived and drew on Atticus. Atticus was able to knock the gun out of the mayor's hand and cave the skull of the mayor in.

Corruption, and head trauma caused by the arresting officers left Atticus hazy about the events and locked away for life.

Seven years into his sentence he met his future wife Samantha, who, with the help of other DOC, were able to find the camera footage from the office to prove his innocence in self defense.

After his release, he decided to dive back into medicine. Rising through the ranks to Chief of Medicine and Neurosurgeon. However again Atticus was his own worst enemy. He bucked against the Government who he considered incompetent and who he felt only devoted funds and time to the police, leaving the hospital under-funded and staff. After a heated altercation with the Mayor Felix Lawws, the board of directors 'instructed' him to retire. Having no choice, he collected his pension and he and his wife Samantha, and their girlfriend Perry, left for Los Santos.

Once in the city he spent his first month of so as a drifter. Drinking, smoking, doing shrooms, working odd jobs to cover his alcohol and rent. Socializing when he felt it necessary. After meeting Thomas Belmont at Hardcore Comics, he saw someone he could relate to. After some time Tommy shared that he was getting a group together. Blackbirds. Atticus never one to shy away from chaos and mayhem, took to the group quickly. After some time when the Blackbirds became Ravens MC, he doubled down, committing his time & energy to the Ravens and their subsequent Businesses.

Atticus even participated in the War of Paleto, which the highlights were multiple GSWs to his back, and pulling out his machete at inopportune moments.

He is formerlythe Secretary for the Ravens MC as well as Manager for Raven Slaughterhouse, and an active pharmacist owning McLaughlin Meds.

As of 2023, Atticus is the only legally licensed private medical practitioner, opening up a Free Clinic in Paleto for the people of Blaine County and the city as a whole.

Recently Atticus' wife has filed for divorce, leaving him single and homeless.

After being gunned down by unsanctioned rogue members of the crumbling Ravens MC, Atticus left the city for a period to re-assess and plan his next moves.

Atticus suffers from Congenital insensitivity to pain with anhidrosis (CIPA) and cannot feel pain, or temperature, and does not sweat.
Atticus seemingly has 100s of Dad Jokes memorized.
Atticus' accent waxes and wanes depending on his mood and sobriety.
Atticus considers himself a druid, worshiping the Tuatha Dé Danann (Specifically The Morrigan & Gaia as a whole).
Atticus has been quoted as comparing his attitude towards people like Gordon Ramsay.
