Born in South East London, Carl had a traumatic incident at the age of 8 years old where he witnessed his father beat his mother to death, and he had seen his mother fade away as he looked her in the eyes, this then imbued complete rage and Carl had then proceeded to then stab his father 27 times in the chest. He would then spend his adolescent life bouncing from foster home to foster home, although he was a quiet individual who preferred being alone he never let anyone get close, as soon as this would happen he would get in trouble in any way he could think of.

When he hit his teenage years he then got involved in London gang culture starting by drilling out replica guns in school for his mentor at the time, one time an event happened where he had let curiosity get the better of him and fired a gun, however where he hadn't drilled it out properly the gun back fired causing a scar on his right hand. Through the years he had worked his way up the hierarchy of the gang, from running drugs to becoming head of security for the boss.

Carl has always sat back and watched and learned how everyone operates and the more the years went on, this made him notice that his bosses behaviour was changing, becoming more paranoid and violent especially to those close to him. Carl then realised he needed an out as one day it may be his own life that maybe in the balance dependent on his bosses mood. Little did anyone know Carl worked behind a bar, and eventually owned the bar, he come to an agreement with his boss that he wanted to leave the country, and would settle with a payment and transfer ownership of the bar.

He then travelled to the Palm City in the Los Santos State where he met many people and started to trust these people and had some very close friends. He then got in with a motorcycle club known as Vikings MC, where he had finally found a family he can trust and love, something Carl had never had in his life, he worked his way up to become an enforcer within the MC and was one of the most respected members within the club due to his way of not letting emotion get the better of him. However he started to become a friendly with a certain member within the club, and after a night of emotion due to her being upset about her partner not being in the city, Carl opened up about his past, with the vulnerability from both parties they had in turn spent the night together, he then found out that she was engaged to the member who happened to be a table member of the club. Due to this Carl had his enforcer patch taken and was voted that he may peacefully leave the club with no consequences. Carl was not only upset but disappointed in himself for letting emotion get the best of him, and with the loss of what he considered his only family decided to leave the city.

After a few months away assessing his life choices and learning lessons the hard way, Carl decided to return back to the Palm state upon hearing the news that one of his first and closest friends (Poppy Hill) was in hospital, it was then he realised this state is his home and he had decided to contact the self proclaimed allfather Larry Tate of Black Lotus to join them as he misses having a family around him. Carl is now a full patch member of Black Lotus
