Charva, a slang term from Northern England, defines the group's member as people whom are generally young and unruly. The Charvas are a street gang in Los Santos of their own flavour, visibly different from the roadmen-types of South England, and the average American street gang. Charvas are unafraid of a criminal record as long as their arm; the absence of this worry holds them true to the first rule of the street - don't talk to Police.

A small group in England had known each other for donkey's years, when an old friend, Legs, told them about the "city of opportunity" across the pond. The ambitious blokes had nothing to lose, so they set out to find a better life in Los Santos. They have since expanded, and fought for their place on the city streets.
