After separating from the US Coast Guard, Chase pursued a pilot’s license to revolve around Helicopters since he had experience servicing rotorcraft in the Coast Guard. Chase obtained his pilot’s license and also began volunteering with the County Sheriff Department to serve as a volunteer Search and Rescue pilot in times of need. When he wasn’t volunteering as a pilot, he was working in the industry as a local mechanic and pilot for the local airport.
Being stationed in the Pacific Northwest really established his love for nature and the preservation of itself and the laws formed to protect it. Chase found himself spending a lot of his free time in the forest and parks, hiking and exploring the trails that lead through them. As he entered the state of San Andreas he noticed the beauty of the trails, forests, parks, and beaches here.
