Early Childhood
1996-2002
Dallas’s earliest memories were of the orphanage held inside the
St. Fiacre Hospital in
East LS. With no knowledge of his birth mother or biological father, Dallas had no blood-related siblings - at least to his knowledge. Dallas often recalls being the eldest among the group of children held in the orphanage, accounting that most of them were shipped to proper facilities while Dallas remained at the hospital. Due to this, Dallas didn’t have many long standing friends growing up, becoming rather distant and unwilling to establish such a relationship with his peers.
As he grew up, he met another child a few years younger than him named Clarence. A small, frail, and rather meek child by Dallas’s standards, viewing him as a burden to others and often bullying him as a result out of hopes of strengthening him. Nowadays, Dallas accounts these actions as seeing himself in Clarence, believing that deep down he related to his feelings and wanted to express them similarly but something within him prevented it.
As a result, Dallas and Clarence became a packaged deal when a single middle-aged woman decided to adopt them, housing them nearby in a humble place on
Amarillo Vista in
El Burro Heights. Secured tightly in gang territory, Dallas was surrounded by poverty, crime and corruption, but was given a place to live, food to eat, and a somewhat proper, public school education.
