Summary

The Renfaire of San Andreas is a 3 day event that has been a constant the last 3 years running. It all started back in 2022 when Kokoro and Deers & Magic approached Choi about setting up a Magiko Con in Legion Square. Kokoro and Deers & Magic left a fun experience that everyone enjoyed.

History

In 2024, Choi approached Amber Dent with an idea of doing a RenFaire once more. Amber came on as her Personal Assistant and they began planning. Within a month period, They created the RenFaire. The Theme that year was Dragons. A lot of folks were impressed with the aesthetic and atmosphere of the Castle the two women brought to life. From the Quests sponsored by Wild Magic and Sally’s Surf Shop, to the Knights of the Faire sponsored by multiple Businesses. Choi and Amber may have lost some of their hair during this endeavor, So They brought on Niko McReary to assist with the sales of the Dragons that so many people were falling in love with.

On the last day of RenFaire 24, Choi and Amber sat in the brawl zone laughing when they decided that they were going to keep this going. Choi decided the next years theme. Pirates. Amber finished the Trivia for the next years RenFaire that night and to their surprise, So many people wanted another as well. The enjoyment and laughter that was heard those 3 days were things that people held onto.

Choi decided to bring on more people to assist, Soon they had an actual team of talented people. Parker Belmont and Anabelle Tate joined the Extra team for the RenFaire ’25. The quad of women sat and decided to start working on the RenFaire 2 months in advance, learning that it was less stressful that way. With the RenFaire ’25, A few more fun things were added. TAG Performed a story through out the weekend, that of the Brave Pirate Maeve and her rowdy crew of Misfits. The thrill of having Bar fights like Tortuga, A fishing Contest, Sally and her dead shark, as well as the Redcoats of Wicked Motors. It once again went off with only a few hitches. But if people looked closely, They would have found the Lizard of ’25.

The Nights were filled with music and fun, from DJ Spirit playing his guitar to Live performances from so many talented artists. But on Friday night, while the party was going, Black and Blue Pirates of Lotus came swooping in like hawks, stealing the Black Lotus Flag from the Pirate Port. Larry Tate and crew were made to pay for their crimes by walking the plank of the glorious Pirate ship.

The piece of resistance for the RenFaire ’25 was the Beautiful Vintage Pirate ship that was refurbished to give the port something unique. The sails of the ship were dedicated to the sponsors that had sponsored both years.

As RenFaire ’25 came to an end, Choi, Amber, Parker, and Ana sat on the island a bit away from the port, admiring their hard work that paid off in joy and laughter from their community. As the crew sat, They decided to fully hire on Matthew Belmont, Prism Blackwood, and Roscoe Waters. The sun set over their work and Amber piped up, stating “So Next Year, Im thinking A Midsummer Nights Dream…” The Extra crew then decided Fairies. Thus continuing on the tradition of their crazy ideas.

Long Term Effect(s)

The Long term effects we believe it has left and will continue to leave on this community is the uniqueness of the event. The fun and excitement it brings to people and their guesses of what we are going to be doing with the idea of Fairies is so amazing. The feedback we continue to get is always incredible and heartwarming to hear. It really leaves a positive footprint within people and we strive to keep it that way. The RenFaire is a place for everyone to enjoy a weekend of just having fun, Listening to music, enjoying the games and quests, and relax. The attendance through out the years is still overwhelming to see. We thank all of you for supporting, encouraging, loving what we do.
