Early life
Zayden was born in Utrecht, but quickly moved and grew up as a child in San Fierro, raised by both his parents. Over the years, his dad, Mateo, would pay less and less attention to Zayden and telling him to stay inside. Zayden wouldn't find out why his dad treated him differently and didn't pay attention to him, but would feel incredibly left out, as he watched kids of his age play outside. Zayden for years would be isolated from the rest of the world, as his parents would leave no clues as to what was going on. Zayden also had an uncle, Gael, famously known around the area as the leader of a criminal group. One day, his dad and his uncle would go on an 'adventure', as his uncle called it, committing a heavy crime. On that day, his dad would be caught with numerous crimes, resulting in a life-long sentence.

Zayden and his mom would move away from San Fierro, to start a new life. At this point, Zayden was a teenager, and would spend the rest of his teenage years in Las Venturas. His uncle saw potential in Zayden, and would move to this place aswell. As a way to convince Zayden. he would tell him that he had a life of freedom and adventure; something that Zayden always felt he missed out on. This meant that Gael would teach Zayden the 'life of crime', something his mother was harshly against, but she at the time was unaware of what the two were up to on a daily basis.

This went on for a while, until his mother one day would find out. Gael wanted to do one last job with Zayden, the biggest one so far, as a final goodbye to him. On this job, Zayden for the first time was forced to hurt people physically. Due to the job not going according to plan, Zayden was shot in the side of the neck, barely surviving. Later, in the hospital, his mother would visit, dissapointed and upset at her child. Here she told Zayden that he had to leave, as she didn't want to see him anymore. Zayden proceeded to recover and after this recovery, moved to the city of Los Santos to start a new life.

Present day
As Zayden never got arrested for his final job with his uncle, Zayden changed his appearance massively, which included always wearing a mask and dyeing his hair a different color. Zayden started out with a light-blue colour, and would later transition to his more well-known mint green colour. In his first few days in Los Santos, Zayden spent time making money, as a way to keep himself out of complete poverty. Slowly though, Zayden began to meet people with familiar goals as he was used to. Zayden proceeded to follow the same path as he was used to from his time with his uncle, and joined a group named the 'Bonelli's'. He would stay in this group for a while and grew close with some of the people within, while also starting to dislike a few others. After a while, the group split up, as goals seemed to differ greatly.

A few months later, a similar group showed interest in his skills. During this same time though, Zayden was dealing with someone who was greatly in love with him; with that same person also involving him in a murder case, by asking him for help with hiding money while that person was arrested. Due to Zayden not fully helping out this person, Zayden was assumed to be a snitch and was shot and attempted to be killed. Due to a quick response time of EMS, Zayden was brought to hospital and stayed in ICU for almost a week, after a surgery that put a metal plate in the back of his head and to barely keep him alive, as a result of the multiple gun wounds.

Zayden would live the following months scared and afraid; as the blast from the bullets on his head had given him memory loss, resulting in him not knowing who caused this and why he was shot. Due to this fear, Zayden became legal, working for Public Works and staying in said line, to try and not upset anyone that could potentially be out for him. Slowly, Zayden would get used to this feeling, as a suspicion grew that the gun wounds were simply a warning, and that him not remembering what happened was simply enough.

After 2 years of hiding behind the mask to hide his past and his scars, in April of 2025 Zayden would slowly start to wear his mask less over time, and got a tattoo of a snake on his neck, mostly covering the scar to symbolize transformation and rebirth, away from the fear and feelings that were attached to his scar.

This 'rebirth' would mean Zayden jumping back more into the life of crime, getting more involved in the drug business, robberies and further activities. Although Zayden has become less fearful over the last year, he is still careful, putting up a facade around anyone that he does not fully trust.

Trivia
- Although Zayden is known for his mint hair color, he's switched between many different colors before landing on this one. Before his nickname was 'Mint Choc Chip', his nickname was 'Mr Aquamarine', referencing a hair colour before the current one.
- Zayden is Dutch, although his accent might show otherwise, due to him not having spent much time in The Netherlands. His last name also is not Dutch, due to his father not being from The Netherlands originally.
- Zayden taking his mask off in front of people used to be a sign of trust, as showing his scars is something he is sensitive about, since it is related to him feeling dissapointed about himself.
- In the early days of moving to Los Santos, Zayden used to wear mostly blue clothing; the same clothing his uncle used to wear. Slowly, he has moved away from this particular style and now wears whatever he prefers.
- The 'Hyde' family name started as a crime family.
