I'll be honest, I almost forgot it was newsletter time, we've been so wrapped up in a very busy holiday season for the server. I'd like to personally shout out my co-owner UnironicallyAverage for spending hours out of his day over the holidays figuring out what to do and where to go next with everything we've dealt with since the last newsletter, - the Cfx issues, the drug rework, introducing automatic weapons, and generally trying to work out what 2026 will look like for NewDay.
There has been so much that we've had to change, rethink, and redo over the past few months. I'm not going to go into too much detail about the Tebex stuff, but we'd like to thank the community for their patience and support during probably the closest we've come to making a shutdown decision. Where are we now? Over 200% funded for the month and it's all thanks to you. We're really blown away by how the extremely stressful period of time with our Cfx troubles have turned into a sign of how much the community does support and appreciate us.
We've been pushing on criminal stuff hard recently; we know the last several months there's been a drought of content for crims. We have a variety of projects on the table but would like to keep the pace up with knocking out your suggestions and adding new mechanics into the server. Things that will affect a large amount of players, such as shooting from cars, continues to be discussed and developed as we can.
If not already pushed, we'll be adjusting the conflict cooldown rules. We've been monitoring and agree that two hours is extreme, especially after a slight culture shift. We're always looking to balance allowing conflicts to escalate naturally and still allow all factions time to react to the shootouts without being dragged from spot to spot.
We have been taking more direct action with people who are coming back to NDRP solely to get into these types of conflicts. We're very happy people are coming back to either try new changes or see what it's like in the new year, but it's also unacceptable for people to only log in to get into wars or shootouts. If you want to come back and check out our features, go hang with your friends, do a heist or activity - logging in, grabbing a gun, and logging out after shooting is not what we want to see.
We've had a bunch of projects see completion over the last two months. Most notable are the drug rework, introduction of automatic weapons, a new 4-person crime, and the full removal & replacement of any IRL branded clothing. All of the sub-teams have been working very hard to bring new content and ways to express roleplay over this holiday season, and we couldn't be more appreciative and proud of all our developers.
We've added the highly anticipated wheel fitment to make sure your car looks as clean as you! As well as a decent number of new vehicles, including a new boat and a three-wheeler! The addition of the Tebex store brought the long-awaited custom plates, bringing more personalization and uniqueness to your character's cars.
To bring more attention to all our talented musicians in the state, we’ve made the ability for the EuphoricFM boombox to be placeable, which syncs to every player in the vicinity.
For all our photographer characters, we moved MossyFilms into all the DigitalDens throughout the state. You can purchase cameras and film within them, as well as getting your photos developed.
With a push to bring more to the prison, we introduced several quality-of-life updates, such as more cooking/workshop recipes, more commissary items, and a few other things.
Winners of the tattoo contests now have their stencils available in all tattoo shops. With Faction and Gang tattoos still a WIP, with the hope of having more updates about it soon.
New emotes are being prepped for the near future, and Original Clothing has recently reopened for orders.
We recently put out an announcement to remind everyone that we're still looking for more developers to help with our server, we currently have positions open on the following teams: Programming, Clothing & Mapping. If you have the skills and want to contribute, we heavily encourage you to apply; we're actively reviewing them as they come in.
From Vivian Chopper, San Andreas Parks Department
As we move into the New Year, I'm excited to share a few updates from the SAPD! I have officially stepped into the role of Head Ranger, with Liam Revelstoke stepping into the Deputy Head Ranger position. I’m genuinely excited to have his support and leadership as we move forward and continue shaping the department together with the rest of the team.
Recently, our Parks Director Eric Olson stepped down from his role and will be sorely missed. That said, we’re pleased to share that Callie Frost has warmly accepted the position and will be leading the Parks Division moving forward. We’re looking forward to seeing the department continue to grow and develop under such strong leadership.
We've already hit the ground running and kicked off the year by opening Ranger applications straight away. At the time this newsletter is released, interviews will have been completed and we'll be in the process of reviewing these and reaching out to candidates regarding their outcomes, if not already. Moving forward, applications will remain open on a rolling basis, though they may be placed on hold between review periods until we're ready to process the new intakes.
Successful applicants will have 30 days to complete training where we will be strict on timeframe to help maintain momentum and ensure we can continue hiring effectively. If you're not successful, please don't panic! You'll be welcome to reapply in the future or open a ticket or speak to us in character to request feedback on how you can improve your application.
As a reminder, any position within the San Andreas Parks Department is roleplay-focused. While there are law enforcement aspects to the Ranger role, those applying should not expect back-to-back calls or shifts in the same way that our colleagues in PD may experience. If you're unsure whether the department is right for you, please feel free to open a ticket or reach out to us in character to learn more. We're hoping to reopen Parks Employee applications to work similarly as above after this round of Rangers have been hired and have started their training.
Finally, regarding pet adoptions: we're currently reviewing our processes to see how we can make things smoother on the administrative side. At this time, we don't have a confirmed reopening date, but we'll keep everyone updated as soon as we do.
Thank you for all your continued interest and support; we're looking forward to see what this year brings!
From SAFR Command, San Andreas Fire and Rescue
Fire Rescue is bringing on 14 new EMS/Fire roleplayers over the next few weeks - keep an eye out for new recruits on the road, and be patient as we get them familiar with how everything works.
We’d like to remind the community that admin+ can help you create fires for your roleplay - just toss up a ticket and see if someone is free (or, you can see about scheduling something). Fire Rescue is always interested in helping further storylines for things like Arson, or even accidents!
Lastly, we'd like to remind the community that we are here to help aid and support their roleplay - but, that roleplay does go both directions. We encourage players to dabble in more advanced injuries, and if you have any questions feel free to ask in the /ooc chat, or reach out to the medic via DMs.

Since the last newsletter I have since been made Surgeon General of SAMS! My command member (Casey Gunn) and I are working hard to expand and develop the department and since the last newsletter we have hired 26 new staff members (we even more people returning to the department)! We hope people have been noticing the increase in activity with SAMS staff, its something we are continuing to work hard on. We also hope everyone is enjoying the new MLO and features we got alongside it, like the contact form. This allows characters to have a direct line to the SAMS supervisory+ team, to make sure you are getting medrp when you want it.
All of our applications are still open (Doctor/Nurse/Assistant apps here, Social Worker apps here), but we are putting an emphasis on hiring new social workers as well as trying to get people into the new position of admin assistant! Since the full merge of DHS into SAMS, we have seen a lot of work done with our new subdepartment in many different forms of roleplay. Our social workers are doing a lot of the small but meaningful aspects of social care work, that have a big impact on storylines. We are also hoping to restart our medical classes, to encourage more people to apply for the department, regardless if you (IC or OOC) have previous medrp experience. We are more than happy to teach and let you find your footing in SAMS, as we do a much broader range of roleplay than most people might realise. You might also have noticed that SAMS post on yeeter about medical clinics being open. This gives you a chance for your characters to get a check-up or tests done, that are more than just medical emergencies downstairs in the ER. The more long-term medical storylines are something our staff also enjoy, so medical clinics are already showing an increase in people engaging with that side of medicine, which we are really thankful for.
If you are anxious or unsure about anything in regards to medrp, you are always welcome to open a ticket to speak to us OOCly. Be that about getting a position within the department, or trying to pursue a storyline of a medical condition with your character. We are always happy to get people into the medrp we love and enjoy.
Thank you for all the support with recent changes and we hope that the department continues to grow!
From Dynasty and the Housing Development Team
Moving into the new year we launched our new Premium Apartments, allowing players to obtain a place of living that included the capabilities of decorating the interior to wherever their imagination could take them. With this we had the goal in mind to give players a decorative space without the need of owning a full home from Dyansty. We launched initially with Cypress, with more locations opening such as, Paleto, Legion, and more recently Del Perro.
As it currently stands, there are 170+ active apartments being leased across all complexes with Legion being fully capped on leases. This idea of the apartment complexes was something that we thought was very minimal and wouldn't see any traction but the community has surpassed our expectations and we will be actively working towards seeking viable locations to continue opening up further locations for players to call their place of living.
If you have any suggestions for potential locations that a new complex could be opened up or ideas of how they could be expanded, please feel free to place a suggestion on the forums so that we can keep an eye out for it! Some locations that we already have in mind is the Vespucci area, and eventually getting a complex situated in Sandy Shores. Additionally, we do have Premium Offices within eyesight however holds no ETA at this time. Overall, thank you guys for the continued interest towards these apartments, it has been great to see what your imagination creates with these floorplans.
As for Dynasty services, we are starting to prep for our Spring wave, and before we open that one up we will be expanding housing's interior choices with some new floorplans. We're always looking for ways to simplify the home buying process for everyone as well, so there may be some procedural changes to the next wave.
