    Mandates:

    The San Andreas Mortuary Services / Office of Chief Medical Examiner is responsible for overseeing all deaths within the State of San Andreas and providing after-life care for those who cross into the morgue facilities. Those working for the facility strive to provide the best after-life care and consideration for those who have died, no matter their past life.

    The office of the chief medical examiner works closely with the Major Crimes Division helping to investigate deaths under suspicious circumstances. OCME Staff utilize a van to transport deceased loved ones back and forth from the scenes to the ME Office.

    The office is a sub-department of the greater San Andreas Medical Services (SAMS). The Chief Medical Examiner is a member of the SAMS command and is still under the Surgeon General.

    The San Andreas Mortuary Services operates out of Pillbox Medical Centre. Any member of the office of the chief examiner is also a working member of Pillbox. They are cross-trained in mortuary services.

    Public access to the morgue is strictly limited. Those organizing visitation to the morgue should contact Pillbox staff and ensure they carry ID on their persons. Only those listed as emergency contacts or next of kin can visit their deceased loved ones in the morgue.

    • July 2021 - Chief Medical Examiner Olivia Moore was appointed
    • Late 2021 - Lewis Knight was appointed as Chief Medical Examiner
    • Jimmie Dimmick was appointed as Chief Medical Examiner until he was elected as a State Representative.
    • November 2023 - Adrik Nelson was appointed as Chief Medical Examiner

    • In 2023, Helena Cassidy-Wren was appointed to oversee and manage the daily operations of the OCME Office.

    Roster/Ranks/Insignias:


    • Chief Medical Examiner:
      The chief medical examiner is an appointed official who is trained in pathology investigates deaths that occur under unusual or suspicious circumstances, and who performs post-mortem examinations. The chief medical examiner runs the morgue and oversees the work therein. The chief medical examiner is generally well-versed and certified in forensic pathology.

    • Morgue Supervisor:
      Attendings + who have experience in the morgue. These are your point of contact to discuss questions and queries. They are responsible for helping training staff complete work to get certified. They can be an ME or a Coroner.

    • Medical Examiner
      Medical examiners are doctors employed by SAMS to investigate the manner or cause of death and to investigate and confirm the identity of an unknown person found dead in San Andreas. Medical Examiners can also be called medical experts for court.

    • Coroner
      Fully certified nurses can assist physicians with paperwork and examinations. Coroners are employed by SAMS to conduct inquiries into the manner or cause of death and to investigate and confirm the identity of an unknown person who has been found dead within the state of San Andreas. Able to assist in processing DOAs and assuring examinations are completed.
