    Description:

Founded January 1st 1992, the day after the dissolution of the Soviet Union, Red Star Imports took a bold leap forward and begin to establish international trade from Moscow, now that the USSR’s tariffs and trade embargos had been lifted.

Starting with a small warehouse, the small team begin to buy up cheap local resources (mainly scrap weapon parts and Russian food/alcohol) and would drive it to St. Petersburg in order to be shipped internationally. On a more ‘local’ scale, the team scraped together what money they had and had bought a couple of old trucks, which they used to transport their wares across Russia and into the newly forming countries that were beginning to crop up after the fall of the Iron Curtain.

A short time later, Red Star Imports began to turn a profit, as it turned out there was a lot of money to be made in Eastern Europe. All these countries that had broken away from the Soviet Union needed supplies. With these profits, Red Star began to move forward into its next business venture, selling automobiles. Russian cars weren’t known for being reliable, they were known for being cheap, and in the post Cold War economy, people needed cheap. As such the company begin to export Russian automobiles into Eastern Europe and beyond, and still continues to do so to this day.

With the company’s success back in Russia having grown exponentially since the company's inception, and with enough Russians in Los Santos, the company has now began to expand its shipping to the United States. Between Yuri and his close friends, there were more than enough workers to open a Los Santos branch of Red Star Imports&Exports, hence why we now own a warehouse on the Docks. The goal is to facilitate the importing of fine Russian goods and wares, whilst exporting what Los Santos has to offer back to Russia.
