The only person Vinh considers his best friend - Calliope holds a special place in his heart. The pair first met when they both responded to a distress call inside of a locked comic book store. They had hit it off quite well with the aid of a hilarious situation that they found themselves in. The next day, a newfound potential friendship was almost ruined by James Stone spreading a rumour that Vinh wanted to have a very intimate moment with Calliope which resulted in him probably offending her with the text messages he sent.

Since then, the two have grown closer to each other. Every chance he receives, Vinh drives up and sits on the ledge where they first hung out at the Galileo Observatory and calls her to see how her day is going. Vinh rarely leaves her side when she finds herself in ICU and has even asked her to fly back to Arizona with him for Christmas.

Vinh still holds a heavy amount of trust and care for Calliope, however he cannot feel as though their relationship is strained somehow. He now knows why, but revealing that to Calliope would only damage their relationship more.


Delilah Arnold

With the loss of his mother from such a young age, Vinh detests his biological family after how they treated the situation. However, Vinh openly uses the label for Delilah.

The two first met at The Little Teapot and was one of the first people Vinh had met when he flew into San Andreas. Since their meeting, Vinh became a regular there as he enjoyed her company the most out of the people he knew. Although it started off as a joke, Vinh quickly came to appreciate her checking up on him whenever something happened at his place of work.

As of February 7th, 2022 - Vinh had officially become Delilah's son, taking her last name as an addon to his own.


Cara McKenzie

Vinh and Cara first met through mutual friends, and although the relationship they currently share was brought up as a joke - Vinh cannot help but feel that he has grown extremely close to her. Colleagues who never met, their first meetings were at McKenzie gatherings, where Vinh was brought along as an 'Honorary McKenzie'. Although everything was a mess, Vinh constantly stated his preference for Cara than her partner at the time, Lane.

This would be reinforced on the April 28th, 2022 - when Vinh would take the last name McKenzie-Arnold despite Cara having the last name Maximus.


Dorothy Rose

The only person Vinh completely trusts and would rely on. They first met at Mount Zonah where he gave her a tetanus shot and aided them with her fear of needles. Their bond only grew stronger in the coming months, as he would eventually move in with her and her partner. Together, they would go on adventures and outings that strengthened their bond and they were rarely alone without each other.

Unfortunately, he was unable to save her in October and he drank heavily to forget his failures, - to no avail. He visited her quite often and even visited the place where Dorothy noted that she'd like to be buried. Unfortunately, Dorothy escaped the ICU and his only knowledge of her still being alive was her accepting a $10,000 invoice for 'Emotional Damage'. Besides that, he treats her as if she passed away.


Kyle Jacobs

Vinh considered Kyle a close mutual friend, as Calliope was the main thing that brought them together. First meeting when Vinh was still a paramedic, the two hit it off fairly well and it stayed like that for a while. This was, however, until Vinh left EMS and joined 249. Kyle, being a fanatic for traffic laws, disproved - but was not overly hostile towards Vinh - especially compared to other members of the police department. When having a quick conversation, Vinh discovered Kyle was going on a sabbatical to France, to which he approved of.

On February 19th, 2022 - Kyle would make a call to Calliope on her birthday to which Calliope said his name out loud. This confirmed a suspicion of Vinh's - that Kyle was going under the moniker, 'Bryce Ellwood', and was in fact undercover in 249.
