Charlee Baxter born Charlotte Gemma Baxter to her father Sean Baxter, and mother Kirstine Mackay in Seattle, Washington. Her father was a second generation immigrant from the UK, and mother a first generation immigrant from Scotland. She spent as much time as she could focusing on school, and tinkering with computers.
Growing up was tough for Charlee since her father being military they moved around a bit. Her father was a NCO in the Army, and was a very violent alcoholic after he retired. Throughout her childhood and into adolescence she was consistently beaten by her father after him stumbling home from the bar. A fair amount of the beatings was her jumping in between her father and mother to protect her mom. If it meant for her to get beat instead of her mother she would intervene since her father would at least show some restraint with her, and even in his drunken rage she could eventually get him to calm down. She never had much of a social life because of this. Always being absolutely terrified of her father losing his mind while people were over. She also didn’t want what friends she did have to see the bruises, and scars she got from her father’s beatings. As she got older she mostly tried to cover herself in tattoos to cover them up. Because of this sorted past she doesn’t really speak much about it, and it took many years of therapy to be able to bring closure to her abuse. On her 18th birthday she was packed and moved out of her parents house, and moved in with a friend.
Charlee did her best to use school and extra curricular activities to keep her time at home to a minimum. She was never really into sports, but did run track through High School and College. Really unsure what she wanted to do with her career she pursued a Computer Science major, and graduated with a BA from the University of Washington. With this she worked a couple jobs doing mostly remote work. She did a lot of side work in her late teens and early 20s. After about 15yrs of doing this she felt she needed a change in direction. She decided on pursuing
Law Enforcement to help bring more direction and meaning into her life. Through this career path she has felt she has made a difference in her city, and in her own life. On a bonus side she met her now wife Alexis Frost on the job whom she loves and adores very much.
Her father passed away when she was 28, and she still has yet to visit his grave almost 10 years later. Kirstine her mother has been estranged, and she hasn't heard from her since her father passed.
Charlee currently lives and works in the city as a Lieutenant and Training Lead for the BCSO & owner of PDM.
