I'm mostly indifferent, leaning towards yes. A couple people have mentioned it already, but I also have used money in suitcases, envelopes, etc. On a large scale, more as a secondary person in business exchanges; but on a personal level, I have occasionally done it for small gifts. It feels really good immersion-wise. Having the potential of seeing the money I'm carrying and getting that direct encouragement to stash it out of the bank would be even nicer. "Out of sight, out of of mind" is one of my worst enemies. Although I've always practiced only carrying what I need... I'd love if my effort was more valuable. And simply, the reminder. I have forgotten that I was paid thousands for some of the civ jobs, and it always felt weird later when I realized how much was on me that was magically... un-robbable, in a way.

That's not to say I'm unafraid of the robbing uptick that is bound to happen... Because that does worry me, like many. Especially for player-run businesses. If this does go through, I would love to see an update with the tip systems. Whether that's something like tying the employee's name (not just CSN) to the bank statement that includes a tip (bank tip method) for easier manual payouts later, or adding a new tip method that can send tips directly to the employee's bank account using the register. This isn't necessarily to discourage use of security services (legal, gang, or MC) either; it's more for the fact of the economy being inflated compared to IRL. As well and in addition to... if suddenly half the work force (a guesstimate) needed security during business hours and after business hours for a bank run... not only would services potentially get run thin and be stuck in one place with minimal interaction at times, but things would feel very, erm... I don't know the correct word, but militia came to mind? Setup for aggression? Public community paranoia showing? Opportunities for unnecessary disrespects and wars? Strange organization for businesses? Excuse my failure of a brain on words for this part. Maybe someone else understands and has a more eloquent way to describe it.

My only other thought is to echo the no coins, or only quarters. My dyscalculia would be causing so much passive anxiety at all times, lol

You can't convince me that AP wouldn't love throwing quarters at people

In seriousness though, yea I agree with the consensus that coins would be too much, just stick with $1 increments if it's going to happen at all
I WANNA THROW BRICKS AT PEOPLE AND HAVE IT DO DAMAGE

I think what maybe you're trying to say is that the civilian side of the RP becomes far more militant and combative than it's intended to be? Thats how I pick up what you're describing.

Whilst this is an idea that I fully support from a roleplay perspective, mainly playing a character that makes quite a few transactions in cash, handling large quantities of items (Cash is king duh, however in these transactions I usually utilize briefcases and or suitcases so this is already adressed in that aspect) and whilst i can appreciate the efforts of the development team putting their hard work into this, this is simply not a change i would support/want, only due to the fact that without sugarcoating it, our inventory system is not great. The "scuff" that happens with moving items / items going into your pockets or a storage and then "poofing" is relatively common, and happens on a daily basis. (What are you doing?! How did you get here?) Or moving items from a storage whether that be the ground or an actual storage, dragging them into your inventory, only to open up your inventory 2 seconds after to find out nothing actually moved.

This is not a change i would like to see, or support as long as issues like the things above remain very common, and basically an every day occurence. As for things "poofing" anyone is free to open up the compensation requests forum and notice quite a few, about items disappearing, poofing, etc.

You can already use Manilla envelopes, Briefcases, and suitcases to move around large quantities of cash in physical form for the times you believe it would "enhance" the roleplay, instead of handing someone 80 thousand dollars from your back pocket.

Hard no from me until things potentially get better regarding the inventory, however even then, if this was implemented i would not like to see small change, just $1 notes. I already barely use cash IRL, and hate change as some others also pointed out in this thread :ROFLMAO: I do think the idea of throwing quarters at people is funny however (I can already imagine spam giving quarters to a cop on a traffic stop) I think i'm more in AP's boat of throwing bricks at people. Brick script when? Got me bricked up.

Thanks for coming to my ted talk.

I voted for this and think it's going to be a good idea, but I dont think the vote will ever pass unless the culture changes around robbing people If it happens all the time and for little to no RP reason, then I can see why people dont want to vote for the change.
