Hello All,
A little less than a year ago, we ran a poll to the community on if we should shift to the change of having Cash as a physical item instead of a virtual value. The votes were close however was a voted no due to some valid concerns regarding it's functionality in the state that it was showcased.
Today, after getting further updates to the system and its functionality, we are seeking to poll the community again to see if this would be a change that the community would like to see in play.
The poll will go for 1 week from today, and we will proceed with the result from that.
If you have any discussions below, please be civil.

What has changed?
Within the previous poll there was feedback given in regards to concerns of how cash as an item would play out. Few things being such;
- Weight Limits
- What happens with our current cash?
- Not being able to use Bank at 24/7's
- Not being able to store the cash inside a wallet
- Can I still use /givecash
- Will this affect other activities that use cash?
- How does this affect the prison?
- How does it work?
- Weight Limits
- To cover the concern in regards to weight limits, we have listened and decided to remove weight limits entirely from Cash to refrain from any possible issues that could stem from a weight limit being present.
- What about our current cash?
- With this change, players will have their cash automatically converted to an item, ensuring no money is lost within the transition.
- The option of using a Bank at a 24/7
- We have since introduced the ability to choose how you'd like to pay at stores, opening the ability to use bank
- Not being able to store the cash inside a wallet
- This update has introduced the ability to store the cash into a wallet and still use it when it's stored inside, allowing players to keep their cash stashed away and not have to worry about inventory management.
- Increase of Robberies/LQRP
- Robberies/LQRP have occurred overtime even with the current state of how cash is handled at the moment. We in the staff team have and will continue to police these issues when brought to our attention even with the new change in place.
- Other Activities
- Before we launch, we plan to do extensive testing around all the mechanics that are currently in-place and see how they play out before looking for a final release. If any changes are needed to accommodate, we will look to adjust as needed. First step is gauging with the community on the change before devoting the dev work towards its.
- Prison
- Upon entering the prison, your cash will now be placed into the lockbox along with your other items, it will be available once released from prison. We are actively discussing of ways to further enhance around this change between short-term prisoners & lifers.
How It Works
- Bank Services – Exchange coins to optimize your pocket for the most efficient combination or purchase specific coins/change. Banks will also accept fractional deposits and withdrawals.
- Wallet Item – There will be a dedicated item for storing coins and cash to reduce inventory clutter.
- If a wallet is on a player, it will use/store cash directly from the wallet, otherwise, we store it in your inventory.
- [NEW COMMAND] /cashb - Shows breakdown of denominations across inventory and wallet.
- Any cash transaction done by a player, will be utilized from a Cash Item within a players inventory.
- Players can give cash from their inventory. (/givecash still remains an available option)
